Is it OK to run a central air, heat furnace with 2 filters?-one in the unit and one as a pop out change?
QUESTION:Is it OK to run a central air, heat furnace with 2 filters?-one in the unit and one as a pop out change?
ANSWER: Seems to me it would restrict air flow even further, causing the compressor to strain. I would call the manufacturer.
If you are just talking about the 1 dollar cheapies at the hardware store, then yes, you can put 2 in with no problem. They don't have enough pressure drop to be an issue.
Follow thte manaufacaturers advice. Two filters normally restrict air flow, both heat and air.
