QUESTION:Anyone have an opinion on what the best forced air gas furnace brand is?
ANSWER: The one that is sized, and installed correctly. Said it before, said it
again, quality of the installation means more than the unit name.
Unless of course...you are looking at a Goodman gas unit. Most tradespeople
agree, they are total and complete junk.
The heat pumps are not so bad, but...gas units...leaky doors, cheap cases...
I have my particulars towards UPG products..but...then again...I use them,
and sell them, and install them.
Call a couple of supply companies, and explain that you have an odd
question...tell them that you want to know if THEY were going to have a unit
installed at their home, who is the guy they deal with that THEY would have
install it.
Do this to several HVAC supply centers...get names, and telephone #s. Call
the contractors up, and get quotes.
