How to Reactivate charcoal furnace filter?
QUESTION:I have a secondary charcol furnace filter for my house to trap oders
(smoke.) I heard that you can re-activate charcoal filters by heating
them to the point that they release all the trapped oders and work
again like new.
Does anybody know how to go about doing this without any specialzed
equipment. I would put them in my oven, but I don't want to release
all the stink back into my house.
ANSWER: it takes thousands of degrees to activate charcoal. if you have an
industrial kiln, maybe it's doable. you should think about just buying
another one.
