QUESTION:a while back we had a problem with soot on our funace filter right
after it was cleaned and serviced. The company sent someone out to
fix the problem and for the last two months there is no dust or
particles on teh filter at all now? Is this normal? This is a cheap filter.
ANSWER:
Sounds like you have a leak between the filter and inlet opening to the
blower. Perhaps the filter is not sized or seated properly. Almost ANY
filter will trap *some* dust or dirt if properly installed...
