Furnace Gas Valve Replacement? Manifold Pressure Low

QUESTION:

I purchased a Bryant 355MAV furnace. It has a 2-stage gas valve. The furnace has a dealer installed Carrier Corp propane conversion kit. The altitude is 1500 ft.
The high manifold pressure should be 11.0 inches water column. It can only be adjusted up to max 10.5 in. wc. The dealer who installed it says it does not matter much. Should I INSIST on a gas valve replacement?
Everything else is within specs, the low manifold pressure was adjusted to the correct 5.4 in. wc, and the gas valve inlet pressure is 13. in wc with the furnace and/or the water heater running.

ANSWER:

A little food for thought: are the correct orifaces installed?
(they are specified per altitude), was the pressure tested with the burner box cover *OFF*? (the GV regulators are vented into the burner box and furnace operation will affect pressure readings). And, I have never encountered (in a properly set up furnace) the problem you describe... before putting the furnace into service make sure it is AOK... Did your guy measure temp rise? Did he install the regulator springs that came with the conversion... Let us know... HVACMAN
