Furnace repair/inspections in St. Paul?
QUESTION:I woke up this morning to find just cold air blowing through the vents.
Not a clue on how to fix nor check it. Taking off the panels and looking
at the electronic guts proved to be fruitless.
ANSWER: The ignitor unit was cracked, thus no spark, thus no flame.
He said the model I had of furnace if they go uninspected for soot, it
clogs up and takes the whole furnace with it. Thankfully, I did not hit
that part.
He also metal-brushed the flame-tube things(ie the grill). He said an
annual inspection for my unit is not necessary, for every 2 years would do.
And he did not accept my tip. (I gave the roto rooter guy $20 for saving
the day).
