QUESTION:Is there any way to quieten down a Heil furnace?
The little inducer fan on my '93 Heil gas furnace sounds like a military
jet engine spooling up when it's running.
I've thought about bypassing it (gotta be dangerous) or building a lined
plenum around it to kill some of the noise. What about just getting a
different blower? Any ideas?
ANSWER: Keeprite had a problem with their Fasco ventor motors a couple of years ago.
This may be your problem. Contact your local dealer to see if there's an
extended warranty on it.
