Honeywell Electronic Furnace Filter

QUESTION:

I am in the process of adding central air to an existing furnace system. The system currently includes a Honeywell electronic air cleaner made in 1976. As part of the addition, I am considering replacing the old Honeywell with an Envirosept Electronic Furnace Filter, which sounds pretty good just from browsing the Net.
My question is, would this new unit be much more effective (or less effective) than the old one? I know the old one is working to some extent, since I can see the dirt come off when it gets cleaned.

ANSWER:

Sorry but we here at alt.hvac is having a Flame and Troll contest which Paul Milligan has had control of for a few years and now has been started to loose control of and then he has started a hate contest between the friends or members of the group. He has been able to draw a line between the members as to who hates who and is holding on to control by spreading hatred in a very high volume. Now things are getting better for it has boiled down to Paul Milligan and a Friend Steve verses this loud mouth TURTLE and the alt.hvac website.
Secret here. PLONK -- Paul Milligan , Steve the Sea Breeze, and TURTLE which will not let you hear or see any of the flame war going on.
