QUESTION:I've checked the archives and found very little info...
I was interested in possibly installing an outdoor wood furnace, but
the few messages that I've seen report serious smoke problems and
other concerns.
Does anyone have any experience with outdoor wood furnaces? Anyone try
to store the heat generated in say a large insulated water tank?
ANSWER: I've read the same thing ... about the smoke. I live where wood is
plentiful and there is a place along a well traveled road that has been
selling them for at leat five years. Turn-over seems minimal and there is
only one residence where I regularly see one in use. It's in a valley and
it does produce a serous layer of smoke when the air is still.
