QUESTION:i have a payne gas horizontal furnace, smelled
burning odor, replaced burned circuit board and
transformer (relay was part way melted and
transformer didn't look good).... after replacing
board assy...main blower stays on...even with
wires to thermostat...disconnected..
i double checked wire connections at board..all
ok.... note...ignitor,vent motor,and gas valve
inop. now........help please....there's snow
outside...
ANSWER: Sounds like open limit or rollout link somewhere. Could
also be an inducer spill switch.
