QUESTION:The flame sensor is the ignitor. You can either replace the ignitor, or
order a kit to add a flame sensor.... I would order the kit, and an ignitor, and keep the ignitor handy because it
will fail soon.....
ANSWER: it has been in the 70's in los angeles the last week and a half so
there has been no urgency on my part to fix the heating problem finally went up in the attic today, furnace is made in early 90's and
i could not spot a flame sensor rod, unless it is that long metal rod
that runs through the 3 burners, but there is no wire connected to it,
i looked up rheem's web site and found criterion furnace has a remote
flame sensor, whatever that means robert, john, dnr, thanks for the suggestions, i will eventually fix
the problem, in the meantime i will enjoy the weather
